Yulia Musayelyan

was born in Moscow, Russia, where she began her music studies at the age of 4 with Valery Brainin and later at the Gnessin School of Music for gifted children. She has extensive experience in the classical, contemporary, jazz and world music genres. She is a 2001 recipient of the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts Award and the National Merit Foundation scholarship award, as well as winner of the 2004 Lillian Fuchs Chamber competition.
